President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Ghana.

President Putin, in his short message underscored the importance of Ghana’s relation with Russia.

He said” The relations between Russia and

Ghana are traditionally of a friendly nature”.

“I am convinced that further development of a constructive bilateral dialogue and partnership meets the interests of our peoples, contributing to the peace and security on the African continent”, a piece of the message reads.

The West African country, formerly Gold Coast, now Ghana is today, March 6, celebrating its 65th anniversary after attaining independence in 1957 from the British.
